Free GED Practice Test
What is the GED Practice Test?
A GED Official Practice Test (OPT) is very much like the real GED exam, but it's half the length of the GED. It's a great, low-pressure way to see what the GED test is like, and to gauge GED testing readiness.
Who can take the GED Practice Test?
Any adult resident of Staunton or Augusta County, and 16 and 17 year-old residents with special permission.
When is it given?
The test is given by appointment during the following hours:
Monday 8 am to 8 pm
Tuesday 8 am to 8 pm
Wednesday 3 pm to 7 pm
Thursday 8 am to 8 pm
Friday 8 am to 3:30 pm.
The test takes about 3 1/2 hours to complete. Scores are given immediately after the test is completed.
Where is the test given?
The test is given at the Adult Learning Center at Valley Tech (49 Hornet Road in Fishersville) at the above hours, and at the satellite sites (Staunton Senior Center and Craigsville Town Center) during other hours. Call for more information about practice testing at a satellite site.
Why should I take the practice test?
There is no better way to get a feel for what the real GED exam is like, and to see how ready you are to take the real test. Best of all, if you pass the practice test, we'll cover your GED testing fee (a $58 value)!
How to I make an appointment to take the practice test?
It's easy! Just call 540-245-5083, email email@example.com, or stop by the Adult Learning Center to make an appointment. We're looking forward to working with you!
