Do you know of someone who has pictures of WMHS from the 1940s, 50s or 60s? If so, call or visit us soon! We are working to assist local historians in their work to write a book and documentary that will aim to preserve the history of the geographic area that includes WMHS. Thank you for any help you can offer to this special endeavor.
This year we begin an annual tradition built on school spirit, successes, and camaraderie. And let’s be honest: bragging rights. Let’s face it, all of you do a lot of awesome things at WMHS. "Under the Sea" Homecoming 2016 is quickly approaching. It's time to pick out the royalty for our Homecoming Court! Click on this link to vote for your choices for the Homecoming Court. Votes must be cast by 3:30 PM on Wednesday, 10/5. You MUST be logged in to your Augusta County account to vote. Voting will give you the opportunity to submit a song request for the dance.
On Thursday, 10/6, Nicholas Sironka will be doing an assembly on the Maasai culture from 9:00 to 9:45 AM for students identified as gifted in either music or art. Students previously identified as gifted in art are also encouraged to sign up for one of the two group sessions being held at 11:15 AM and 1:30 PM. In these sessions, students will be taught how to create Batik art. Students interested in attending either of the group sessions MUST SIGN UP IN ADVANCE IN ROOM 59 (Mrs. Hite's room) no later than Wednesday, 10/5.
Seniors! Queen City Photography will be here on Friday, 10/14 to take Senior photos. Come prepared because they will not be doing hair or makeup.
