Benefits Open Enrollment Information
For the 2015 Plan Year
Open enrollment dates: October 27 through November 25, 2014
NEW: PLANSOURCE ONLINE BENEFITS ENROLLMENT
Starting with the 2015 Open Enrollment period, active benefits eligible employees will elect coverage options on-line using PlanSource. After the initial enrollment, all benefit changes will be entered online by the employee.
The PlanSource system may be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any computer with internet capabilities.

OPEN ENROLLMENT MATERIALS: Changes, new enrollments and plan terminations for open enrollment will require online enrollment for the various benefits. Employees can view and download a copy of all materials at www.augusta.k12.va.us/benefits.
EFFECTIVE DATE OF COVERAGE: All open enrollment elections will have an effective date of January 1, 2015.
HELPFUL INFORMATION ABOUT OPEN ENROLLMENT
· Flexible Spending Account participants must re-enroll each year as these do not automatically renew.
· Flexible spending account deductions have the first contribution amount deducted from the January 30, 2015 payroll.
· Payroll deductions for insurance changes made during open enrollment will take place on the December 31, 2014 payroll.
· Members enrolling in new insurance plans should receive their ID cards no later than January 1, 2015.
The Affordable Care Act (health care reform law) requires all fully insured health insurance plan members receive an SBC. The SBC is designed to help members understand their benefit coverage. These documents are located on the Augusta County School Board website at www.augusta.k12.va.us/benefits under the “Insurance-Health” tab.
