Nick Nycum

B.S. in Health and Physical Education, Bridgewater College, 2005

M.S. Ed in Administration and Supervision K-12, Shenandoah University, 2008

After graduating Bridgewater College in 2005 I was hired in Augusta County at Craigsville Elementary School to be the Physical Education Teacher.  I  was an assistant football coach, freshmen boy’s basketball coach, and girl’s varsity track coach during my three years of teaching physical education.  All of my coaching experience was at Buffalo Gap High School.

After receiving my Master’s degree in administration from Shenandoah University, I was hired to be the principal at Craigsville Elementary.  After serving the Craigsville school and community for three years, I accepted the assistant principal position at Stuarts Draft High School.  Although my tenure at Craigsville was memorable and rewarding, I enjoy being in the high school atmosphere.

After serving four years as the assistant principal at Stuarts Draft High School, it is my pleasure to serve as your principal for the 2016-2017 school year.  I look forward in continuing the traditions and academic success that SDHS has endured over many years.
