Education:
B.S. in Health and Physical Education, Bridgewater College, 2005
M.S. Ed in Administration and Supervision K-12, Shenandoah University, 2008
Professional:
After graduating Bridgewater College in 2005 I was hired in Augusta County at Craigsville Elementary School to be the Phys. Ed. Teacher. I also was a varsity assistant football coach, head freshmen boy’s basketball coach, and head girl’s varsity track coach during my three years of teaching physical education. All of my coaching experience was at Buffalo Gap High School.
After receiving my Master’s degree in administration from SU, I was hired to be the principal at Craigsville Elementary. I was the principal at Craigsville for three years before accepting the assistant principal job at Stuarts Draft High School. Although my tenure at Craigsville was memorable and rewarding, I am excited to be back in the high school culture and climate after being away for six years.
Personal:
My wife Sarah and I had our first child in August of 2011. Adelyn Bren is a glorious addition to our family and it is amazing how fast she is growing! We are joined at our cottage by a wonderful chocolate lab named Hilo. She loves duck and dove retrieving, and she is enjoying her second year of hunting! Family, hunting, being outdoors, and enjoying sports are ways that I spend my spare time. I am also an active member of Goshen Baptist Church.
Welcome: I am eager to start my high school administrative career at Stuarts Draft High School. I have heard nothing but praise from the administrative staff about the excellent faculty and staff, students, parents, and community members we have in the Stuarts Draft area. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the Cougar tradition and I am looking forward to building personal and professional relationships with you this upcoming school year.
Go Cougs!
