Welcome to the wonderful world of third grade!
Hello! My name is Mrs. Jones and I am your child's third grade teacher this year. I have had the privilege of working with third graders for the past twenty-eight years at Cassell Elementary. It has been an adventure filled with learning, triumphs, challenges, hard work, and humor.
I am proud to be a product of Augusta County Schools; in fact, I loved my teachers and school so much that I had perfect attendance for 12 years! I graduated from Stuarts Draft High School in 1978 and James Madison University in 1982. My teaching career began at Trinity Episcopal Preschool in Staunton, then continued at Cassell Elementary, where I started teaching third graders in 1984.
I live happily in Waynesboro with my husband and son. I love to garden, cook, read, listen to music, and do crossword and Suduko puzzles. My favorite place is Emerald Isle, a lovely beachtown in North Carolina that we visit every summer. My extended family includes my parents in Stuarts Draft, my sister and her family in Waynesboro, and my brother and his family in Stuarts Draft. I have a beautiful granddaughter named Lucy who lives in Pittsburgh with my stepson and his wife. My stepson and his wife in Virginia Beach will be adding to our family with a baby boy in December. Grandma Lynne will be busy!
