Do your parents have questions? Let your counselor know so that they can sign you up for a meeting with our GRASP coordinator, Ms. Laura Boward. She will start seeing students at Wilson in October.
Do you know of someone who has pictures of WMHS from the 1940s, 50s or 60s? If so, call or visit us soon! We are working to assist local historians in their work to write a book and documentary that will aim to preserve the history of the geographic area that includes WMHS. Thank you for any help you can offer to this special endeavor.
We will have THREE colleges visit us on Thursday, 9/29. Eastern Mennonite University will be here at 10:00, Hampden-Sydney College will be here at 11:10, and William & Mary will be here at 2:00 PM . See guidance for a pass to attend if you are interested in either of the schools.
This year we begin an annual tradition built on school spirit, successes, and camaraderie. And let’s be honest: bragging rights. Let’s face it, all of you do a lot of awesome things at WMHS. Classroom Painting is continuing and will go for two weeks. The following classrooms will be painted during this time: 57 (Miller, Matallana), 59 (Hite), 60 (Arehart, Stein), 62 (Montague), 63 (Grant), 64 (Sams), 65 (Clark), 66 (Stevens), 67 (Hopkins), and 68 (Loan).
Debate and Forensic Team Members: Our first meet is only about 2 weeks away! Mr. Morris is currently entering people who want to go, but he needs all members to come see him to verify the information. You must be registered by next Friday if you want to go on the 10/13. See a coach with any questions.

On Thursday, 10/6, Nicholas Sironka will be doing an assembly on the Maasai culture from 9:00 to 9:45 AM for students identified as gifted in either music or art. Students previously identified as gifted in art are also encouraged to sign up for one of the two group sessions being held at 11:15 AM and 1:30 PM. In these sessions, students will be taught how to create Batik art. Students interested in attending either of the group sessions MUST SIGN UP IN ADVANCE IN ROOM 59 (Mrs. Hite's room) no later than Wednesday, 10/5.
Seniors! Queen City Photography will be here on Friday, 10/14 to take Senior photos. Come prepared because they will not be doing hair or makeup.
