Meet Mrs. Coyner…........
Hello! Welcome to the 2018-19 school year! This is my seventh year as the Reading Specialist at Guy K. Stump Elementary School and my 14th year as an Educator! Before coming to Augusta County, I taught second and third grades in Waynesboro at Wenonah Elementary.
I earned my Masters Degree in School Curriculum and Instruction from Eastern Mennonite University with a focus in Literacy. I currently reside in Greenville with my husband Travis, my second grader Kylie Grace and my Kindergartner Tripp. Teaching and learning is a passion of mine and I feel as if I am a life-long learner! Children are truly a gift and you can learn so much from their innocence. One of my favorite children’s books has to be…. “Miss Rumphius” by Barbara Cooney. It helps to build character in children and encourages students to "do something to make the world more beautiful." That can mean spreading kindness, joy or physically planting a flower! Check it out! It’s an amazing story to share with your children. I will walk alongside your child as they learn to read and then as they read to learn. Please do not hesitate to call me at Stump if you have any questions, concerns or thoughts about your child’s reading development. Please also feel free to email me: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for being your child’s number one fan!
