Mr. Shull

Mr. Shull graduated from Bridgewater College in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education.  He came to Fort Defiance as Director of Bands in the Fall of 1981 after having been Director of Music at Warren County Junior High School.  He has a Master of Science degree of Education Administration and Supervision from Shenandoah University.  Mr. Shull became Assistant Principal in January of 2008.

Mr. Shull frequently serves as a quest lecturer for music education courses on the collegiate level and has been a member of the James Madison University Music Education Advisory Council since its inception.  He is a past president of the Bridgewater College Alumni Association and state secretary for Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association.  Mr. Shull performs professionally as a tuba player with the Massanutten Brass Band, the Massanutten Brass Quintet, and the Valley Wind Ensemble.
