Welcome back to another semester at Wilson Memorial High School.
My name is Mr. Morris and I am the chemistry and physics teacher at WMHS. Before coming to Wilson, I attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown where I received my bachelor’s of science in Chemistry and minored in biology and physics. After I graduated from this university, I worked in Monroeville, PA as a forensic chemist, specializing in gunshot residue. Then I met my wife and decided to move to VA to be with her. I went to James Madison University where I received my masters of arts in teaching.
Learning is my life’s passion and I am always looking for new things to learn about. Besides the sciences, I am also interested in theatrical productions having acted in several plays and musicals in high school, college and in the community. I also have a love of music having been in the marching band in high school where I played the trombone. In addition, I am also teaching myself how to play the bass guitar in my spare time. So, that is a little bit about who I am. I look forward to getting to know you in this classroom:And remember, if you ever want to contact me, my email address is jjmorris@augusta.k12.va.us.
