By the end of this course the student should be able to read existing CNC programs to determine important variables in those programs and be able to modify them when called upon to do so. Also, the student will be able to write simple programs without the use of a computer aided machining program G and M codes for CNC program controls.
Familiarization of CNC control options
Straight line moves
Canned cycles (i.e. drilling, tapping etc.)
Circular interpolation (including I and J dimensioning)
Practical applications of these issues
