• Chapter Bylaws

    IV. Section 3. c.
         Candidates eligible for election to the chapter shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.
    * NOTE: The Faculty Council has voted to raise the GPA requirement to 3.5.  This change will come into affect for the incoming freshman class in the 2010-2011 school year, the class of 2014.
     
    VI. Section 1.  Annual dues for this chapter shall be $0
     
    IX.  Section 6.  All members shall attend all meetings.

    a.       A member who is not able to attend a meeting shall turn in Excused Absence form.  Excused absences are limited to: necessary academic meetings with a teacher, excused absence from school, and other club meetings.  A member shall be excused from chapter meetings for other club meetings only if he or she is an officer of that club or has a specific other duty at that meeting.

    b.      Unexcused absences shall have the following penalties:

    i.                    First absence: verbal warning from chapter advisor

    ii.                  Second absence: written warning from Faculty Council

    iii.                Third absence: hearing before the Faculty Council, which will vote on the member’s dismissal from the chapter. (see Section 6 of Article X)
