During the Cold and Flu Season... a few reminders to keep your child healthy.

    Get the yearly flu vaccine

    • Practice good hand hygiene including; washing hands with soap and water at least 20 seconds; washing after coughing or sneezing; using alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
    • Practice good respiratory hygiene including; using tissues to cover the mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing - dispose of tissues immediately in the trash can; if you don't have a tissue, cough/sneeze in your upper sleeve, not your hands, and wash your hands after coughing or sneezing.

In order to reduce the risk of spreading viruses, keep this in mind:

    • If your child is sick with fever, they need to be fever free for 24 hours, without medication, before returning to school.
    • If your child is vomiting or having diarrhea, they should not return to school until 24 hours after the symptoms have stopped.
