• Dear WMHS Students, Parents and Community Members,
It is a privilege to continue to serve Augusta County Public Schools as Principal of Wilson Memorial High School.
I am a Nelson County native and hold B.S. and M.Ed. degrees from James Madison University and a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Virginia. Prior to my arrival at WMHS in July 2014, I worked in Rockingham County as a high school teacher, assistant principal, and central office director for 21 years.
My husband, Greg, is the Director of Operations, Maintenance, and Athletics for Augusta County Public Schools. Our daughters attend Wilson Middle School and enjoy supporting the Green Hornets as much as we do.
As your principal, I remain committed to the high academic achievement and personal success of each student through quality instruction, participation in extra-curricular, fine arts, and athletic activities, and experiences in work-based learning and career and technical education programs. I will continue to work diligently with our outstanding faculty to promote a positive and safe school atmosphere where open communication and relationships are valued.
I look forward to working with each of you again this year. Together we can continue the many traditions of excellence that Wilson is known for. Please contact me or visit my office if I can assist you in any way.
    Sincerely yours,
    Kelly F. Troxell, Ed.D.
    Go Hornets!
