• Child Development & Parenting 




    Students enrolled in Child Development and Parenting focus on analyzing parenting roles and responsibilities, ensuring a healthy start for mother and child, evaluating support systems that provide services for parents, and evaluating parenting practices that maximize human growth and development. Critical thinking, practical problem solving using case studies, and entrepreneurship opportunities within the area of parenting responsibilities and child development are emphasized. Students will also focus on the impact of parenting, preparing for the emotional and physical beginnings for parent and child, and building positive parent-child relationships through positive guidance and discipline.
