I'm Mr. Weiss. This is my fifth year teaching at Fort, and, I must say, I've been having a great experience. I grew up enjoying the Blue Ridge Mountains and the clean air and water of Floyd County, Virginia. In 2009, I graduated from Floyd County High School. I spent a total of 6 years at the University of Virginia, earning my Bachelor of Science in environmental science and my Master of Teaching in secondary education. I student taught at Monticello High School in the Fall of 2014 and now I'm here!
One of my biggest career objectives is to get adolescents interested in the outdoors, Earth, and society's role within it all. I hope my enthusiasm for Earth science and environmental science trickles down to our youth.
