Vet Science I
Veterinary Science I will prepare you for a post-secondary education and/or a career in veterinary medicine or a similar field. You will develop skills in anatomy, nutrition, medical terminology, sanitation, clinical exams, and handling animals. Live animal handling may occur. Course content also includes facility maintenance, office functions, and safety practices. You will demonstrate interpersonal skills and professionalism while exploring careers through supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs). Finally, you will explore leadership opportunities available through the WMHS FFA chapter. After completing this class, you will be eligible to take the Elanco Veterinary Medical Applications Certification exam.
