•    100 Hello!  My name is Kristi Peery and I am the Teacher-in-Residence for Augusta County and JMU.  I would like to share a little about myself with you.
I received my undergraduate degree from Bridgewater College.  I have twelve years of teaching experience in the classroom~ ALL in Augusta County!!  My first teaching position was in Head Start.  I taught Head Start for two years at Craigsville Elementary.  In addition, I taught Kindergarten for ten years (two years at Stuarts Draft Elementary and eight years at Guy K. Stump Elementary).  In 2003, I received my Master's degree from James Madison University with a concentration in Educational Leadership K-12.  This is my 10th year as Teacher-in-Residence. As Teacher-in-Residence, I have responsibilities to Augusta County and its partner JMU.  At Clymore Elementary, I assist administration and place  practicum students as well as student teachers.   At JMU, I  teach an Introduction to Early Childhood Education course and two seminar courses in addition to supervising these students out in their field placement. I also chair the Augusta County/JMU Partnership steering committee.
At home, my husband Chris and I are busy with our 2 children!  Emma, our 11th grader, stays busy with softball.  Carter, our 7th grader, loves playing basketball.  In other words, we spend quite a bit of time on the ball field.  Between ball games, we enjoy spending time together at the lake!
Thanks for visiting!  Please feel free to email me~
