• Philosophy of Craigsville Elementary School

The faculty and staff of Craigsville Elementary School believe that each child at our school has the right to be taught and to learn in a mode or manner through which his/her greatest potential may be realized. We want our children to not only be successful in academics, but also to be successful members of their respectable communities as adults.

We believe that all students in our community can and should be able to learn on their individual ability level. Our staff provides a unique and differentiated approach to each child’s instruction to provide our students with the best, well-rounded education possible.

We believe that all of our students possess special talents and abilities. We strive to create a positive school environment where these abilities and talents can be fully developed. We believe that it is our responsibility to develop our children intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially.

We believe each student has the responsibility to conduct him or herself in an appropriate manner in order to receive the greatest amount of benefit from his or her educational experiences; and we will establish mutual relationships with parents, community members, and churches to guide our children to a successful educational experience.

We believe the school should be the focal point of the community where the students, parents, and faculty, as well as all community members, have the opportunity to work together to help our young children develop into productive members of our society.
