Mrs. Canterbury

Welcome to North River!  My name is Lisa Canterbury, and I've been a teacher at NRES since 1999.  I first started out teaching the hands - on math lab, both at North River and Craigsville.  After three years in math lab, I made the move to second grade.  Eventually I transitioned to teaching third grade for a few years before I had the opportunity to become the Intervention Specialist for our school.  I attended Concord University in Athens, WV from 1995 -1999.  I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, K-6.
I live in Swoope with my husband Brent and our two boys, Noah and Micah.  Brent and I are originally from Beckley, WV, but moved to Virginia shortly after getting married.  Although we are avid "Mountaineer" fans, we have fallen in love with the Shenandoah Valley.
When away from school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  I enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, golfing, fly fishing, and running.
