Hello! My name is Tina Blacka, and I teach math to all fifth graders at Guy K. Stump Elementary. I received a BS degree from Radford University following my graduation from Stuarts Draft High School. (Go Cougars!) After being in the workforce and starting a family, I decided to return to school for my teaching certificate. I received a MAT degree from Mary Baldwin College in 1996. I live in Greenville with my husband, Brian, and we have two children. Our daughter, Emmy, just graduated from Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences in Physical Therapy. Our son, Nathan, just graduate from VA Tech (Go Hokies!) with a Civil Engineering degree. We have 2 chocolate labs at home, Coco and Luna. This is my 23th year teaching, and my 22nd year with fifth graders. Math is my very favorite subject and I enjoy teaching it to fifth graders especially being in the building where I attended elementary school. Stop by and say hi!
