Hello! Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! This is my ninth year as the Reading Specialist at Guy K. Stump Elementary School and my 16th year as an Educator! Before coming to Augusta County, I taught second and third grades in Waynesboro at Wenonah Elementary.
I earned my Masters Degree in School Curriculum and Instruction from Eastern Mennonite University with a focus in Literacy. I currently live in Greenville with my husband Travis, my fifth grader Kylie Grace and my thrid grader Tripp. Teaching and learning is a passion of mine and I feel as if I am a life-long learner! Children are truly a gift and you can learn so much from their innocence and Love for Life! One of my favorite children’s books has to be…. “Miss Rumphius” by Barbara Cooney. It helps to build character in children and encourages students to "do something to make the world more beautiful." That can mean spreading kindness, joy or physically planting a flower! It’s an amazing story to share with your children. Please do not hesitate to call me at Stump if you have any questions, concerns or thoughts about your child’s reading development. Please also feel free to email me: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for being your child’s number one fan!
