Growing up in Rockingham County and graduating from Spotswood High School, I was excited to start my educational career in Rockingham County as a teacher and coach at the middle school and high school levels.  After eight years with RCPS, I had the good fortune of joining Augusta County as the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Buffalo Gap High School.  I moved into the instructional side of administration the following year as the Assistant Principal for Instruction and remained in that position for six years.  In 2006, I became the principal of Wilson Memorial High School leading a great staff and wonderful students until 2014 at which time I became Assistant Superintendent for Personnel.  In the summer of 2015, I moved into the position of Assistant Superintendent for Administration.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Bridgewater College where I also participated in two sports and maintained an on-campus job.  I received a Master of Science in Education from James Madison University and another one from Shenandoah University.  In 2010, I completed my Doctor of Education degree at Virginia Tech and was selected as the Outstanding Student in Educational Leadership of 2010.

My wife, Renee, and I enjoy outdoor activities, running 10K races and relaxing on sandy beaches.    Rafting in WV 10K in VA Beach Island of St. John

Education is an important part of my personal life as well as my professional career as I believe that it will open many doors providing opportunities in life.  As we continue to learn and help others, we can achieve many successes.
