Alternative Setting Program for High School Courses
The Alternative Setting Program (ASP) is designed for students to access high school level courses through online instruction with teacher assistance available during after school hours. This program benefits those having difficulty finding success in the regular classroom environment. It may also be used by students who have scheduling conflicts for graduation requirements.
Enrollment in ASP is determined by either the Augusta County Discipline Committee or school principal.
- Placement decision by school principal or Discipline Committee.
- Initial parent/student meeting with school counselor discussing the expectations of ASP.
- Complete an ASP contract (must be signed by student, parent, counselor and school administrator).
- Complete the ASP Course Enrollment form by school counselor.
