Greetings! This will be my fourth year as the assistant principal at Wilson Elementary School. I am so excited to be a member of Wilson's dynamic and energizing school community! I am dedicated to the success and safety of students, staff, and community members at Wilson Elementary.
I came to Wilson having spent 15 years as an educator with Waynesboro Public Schools. I taught 4th grade at Westwood Hills Elementary School for five years, was an Instructional Coach at both William Perry Elementary School (6 years) and Wenonah Elementary School (3 years), and served as the Elementary Intervention Specialist and Process Manager at Wenonah Elementary School for a year.
I earned a Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree from Longwood College (2001) and became a certified reading specialist after earning a Master of Arts in Education degree from Eastern Mennonite University (2007). An additional designation of Curriculum and Instruction Practitioner was added through Eastern Mennonite University (2010). James Madision University is where I completed coursework for the School Administrator Endorsement.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a DIY/crafting enthusiast and love a good road trip. I am a voracious reader of any good book I can get my hands on and have recently started to listen to podcasts. I love to relax by kayaking and tubing along the Seneca Creek at my parent's cabin.
