I am a native of Augusta County (I graduated from SDHS!). I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Psychology from Bridgewater College in 1984 and a Master of Arts degree in French from the University of Virginia of 1986. I worked at Merrill Lynch in Charlottesville from 1986-1990, got my teaching credentials from Mary Baldwin College in 1990 and started teaching French in Southampton County. I spent 4 years at Southampton County High School and Middle School and came back to Augusta County in 1994. I taught for one year at Fort Defiance High School and Buffalo Gap High School and came home to SDHS in 1995. I have also taught French classes at JMU as an adjunct instructor. I take trips abroad with students and adults every couple of years, so watch this site for information!
