Background on the Award
First published in 2013, the 100 Best W!se High Schools national ranking recognizes the top 100 performing high schools in W!se’s national network, showcases excellence in financial education and motivates schools to “race to the top” in personal finance instruction. The ranking also encourages school districts and administrators to expand and improve the quality of personal finance instruction in their schools and elevate the importance of financial education.
*This national ranking is determined with support from an Advisory Board of experts from academia and finance. The predominant factor was the average score on the Financial Literacy Certification Test with consideration given to eligibility for free lunch and the proportion of test takers to the school population.
