RE: 2020-2021 Snow Day Plans
For the 2020-2021 school year, Snow Days will be handled in the following manner:
Augusta County Schools are Closed:
If schools are closed for the day due to inclement weather, students will have an “at-home” instructional day. Students should continue working on their assigned work whether they are virtual or hybrid students. Teachers will work at home or at school. If the snow day falls on a Monday, there will not be meal pick up or delivery. Employees who normally report to work on snow days will do so on their scheduled time.
Note: When school reconvenes, the group that is scheduled for that day will attend.
For example, if a snow day falls on a Tuesday but schools are open the following day on Wednesday, B Group Students will report to school. ACPS Students will attend school on their designated days.
Augusta County Schools are Closed: Code 1
Students will have an “at-home” instructional day and teachers will work at home or at school. Employees who normally report to work on snow days will do so on a one hour delay.
Augusta County Schools are Closed: Code 2
All school offices are closed. Students and teachers will not be expected to work at home. No employees will report to work (this includes custodians, maintenance, transportation, or administration personnel).
