Attention ALL GIRLS interested in CYBERSECURITY
Registration is now open for the 2019 Girls Go CyberStart program, which aims to support and inspire high school girls across Virginia to explore careers in cybersecurity and computer science.
The Girls Go CyberStart program is an online game consisting of a series of challenges that put students in the role of a cyber protection agent charged with solving realistic problems and puzzles. It is designed to explore relevant and exciting topics such as cryptography and digital forensics.
The program is open to girls in grades 9 through 12. Students can participate at both home and at school, or wherever an Internet connection is available. The program is free and participating students do not need knowledge or experience. Registration for Girls Go CyberStart is now open, with online gaming commencing on March 20. Additional details can be found at www.girlsgocyberstart.org.
See Mrs. McLaughlin for more information!!!
Augusta Health is pleased to announce a Medical Career Explorers group. It is a great way for high school students in grades 9-12 to learn about possible options when pursuing occupations in health care. Health care is an exploding career field, with innovations in recognition, prevention, and treatment of many illnesses. Wellness is also an area to consider, which uses a different philosophy than treating the condition after it arises. Salaries and job opportunities are attractive and often scholarships are available for eligible students.
We meet the second Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 at Augusta Health Main Lobby. Each meeting has a guest speaker from a different health care field. We would love to have you join us! Note: there is a $24 fee per year and a short form you need to fill out. These can be taken care of at your first meeting.
For directions please email Joyce Rathfon at Augusta Health. email@example.com
