School Resource Officer Appreciation Day offers us an opportunity to celebrate our Deputy Costello. He faithfully models the Bobcat Way at NRES. He does this by living out vision and mission statement. He aspires to be a problem solver, strives to attain full potential for our students and himself, and contributes to our school as a model citizen. We appreciate you Deputy Costello!

100th DAY of School- Students are invited to participate in The Wonders of 100 Days Smarter Photo Experience. Bobcats will receive a digital gameboard via this newsletter, parent square, our website or our Face Book page. Students are challenged to complete as many of the 100 day activities as they are able. Take a picture of your Bobcat as they complete the challenge. Send the photo to Mrs. Davis either via her school email, davis.sj@augusta.k12.va.us or through the Parent Square app. Our goal is to collect 100 photos of Bobcats celebrating the wonders of being 100 days smarter!

We are so proud of our Blair Horn. She represented Bobcat Country at the ACPS Spelling Bee! So proud of her!

Our newest Bobcat, Milo the service dog, had THE BEST first day at NRES.

Our NRES community had a delightful time as we participated in the Mt. Solon Christmas parade. Our students were festive and cheerful! A BIG shout out to our own Mrs. Knott who organized this float. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Trissel for the truck and trailer and to Mr. Lloyd for adding some very special touches to the float. Thank you to ALL Bobcat families and students who attended and participated. We truly revealed to the community what it means to follow the Bobcat Way!

The North River Pole shop is now open. Our cheerful and organized parent volunteers greet students with joy. Students may peruse a variety of homemade goods made by artisans from right here in our Mt. Solon community. This includes our own 5th grader, Abby L, who made these hand sewn ornaments!

We had the best time at our first annual Bobcat Turkey Waddle!

Veterans honored by our students at our Veterans Day assembly.

Our Kindergarten students led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Veterans Day assembly at NRES was truly outstanding. Our speaker Mr. Knicely encouraged and challenged us to explore ways we can serve our communities. Students led this assembly with poetry readings, songs, and speaking.

We had so much fun celebrating the reading of Little House in the Big Woods. We commemorated the conclusion of the book by engaging in some activities centered on the book.
