It is time to meet our next group of Gladiators!
Online registration for Kindergarten 2023-2024 begins on Wednesday, March 1. Children who will be 5 years old by September 30, 2023 are eligible to enter Kindergarten.

On-site registration begins Monday, March 20 and Riverheads Elementary will be open until 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 23 for families who need evening hours to bring in registration documentation.

We are excited to announce the return of Girl on the Run. We are looking for girls in grades 3 - 5 who are looking to become involved in an after school group that inspires young ladies to be joyful, healthy and confident through fun experiences that integrate running.
Grab & Go Breakfast with Santa - Saturday, December 11
Our PTA is hosting a Breakfast with Santa event from 9 - 11 am on Saturday, December 11. The breakfast will be “grab & go”, there will be a quick craft to take home, and a chance to get your picture with Santa. PTA will run a Holiday Shop as well, where children can shop for their loved ones. (Each item cost $1).
Our SCW student leaders are hosting a Spirit Week this week, October 4 through October 8, to support Relay for Life and raise funds as well as awareness.
Our first Spirit Week of the year kicks off tomorrow, Monday, September 13, with Team Day. Hopefully our Gladiators show their school spirit by wearing gear from their favorite teams!
Our SCW is hosting this Spirit Week. As part of their service to our community, they are collecting donations in memory of Karen Thompson. Mrs. Thompson was a long time aide for Riverheads Elementary. Her passion for all children was clear in her work and as a tribute to her all donations will go toward her church's playground fund.

The start of school is just around the corner and we are excited for the return of our Gladiators. There are only a few minor changes to our school supply list this year. Don't forget, the Virginia Sales Tax Holiday runs from August 6 - 8 this year. School supplies and clothing are eligible purchases!
