Dr. Eric W. Bond has served as Superintendent of Augusta County Public Schools since July 1, 2014. Prior to his appointment as Superintendent, he served Augusta County Public Schools as the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel since 2009 and Assistant Superintendent for Operations between 2006 and 2009. 

After completing his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from James Madison University, he taught Geometry/Algebra I at Rockbridge County High School before being hired as the Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Buffalo Gap High School. He later was promoted to Principal at Stuarts Draft High School until 2006 when he moved to the Central Office.

Dr. Bond earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Supervision from the University of Virginia, and a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech.

His broad experience in building and central administration in the Augusta County Public Schools has provided him with the experience and expertise to understand the needs and culture of this school division and its community. He looks forward to leading the Division and continuing to provide excellent opportunities to the students in Augusta County.
