Currently the division employs approximately 880 teachers.  The number of available positions are determined by several factors.  The budget process will have an impact on new positions.  Enrollment, special needs, SOL's, and class registration are all factors in the personnel component of budget development.

Other factors include retirements and resignations. A bigger picture evolves during the Spring and when contracts are received in May.
