During the week of November 6-10, 2023 schools throughout the United States will celebrate National School Psychology Week (NSPW) to highlight the important work school psychologists and other educators do to help all students thrive. This year's theme is "Let's Grow Together," inspired by the importance of both personal and shared strengths in our growth as individuals and school communities in every season of life. The theme recognizes every aspect of growth, as fundamental to effective learning environments and to school psychologists' role in supporting student well-being and learning. -National Association of School Psychologists
BISON NATION: The following are policies in place at Brunswick Friday
- Bag Policy: Please remember that bags are not permitted within our games. This policy is in place to help streamline security procedures and minimize potential risks.
- Re-Entry is not allowed
- Security Measures: For the safety of all attendees, we continue to employ security measures, including entry through the Evolv system and/or metal detectors. Your cooperation in these security checks is greatly appreciated.
- Parking Lot Etiquette: Following any sporting event, we kindly request that all parties exit our parking lots promptly. We ask that there be no gathering in the parking lots to ensure a smooth and safe flow of traffic.
REGION FOOTBALL NEWS: Bison Nation...CASH ONLY will be accepted at the gate at Brunswick Friday Night. They DO NOT use GoFan. Tickets are 10 dollars.
Region Event Reminders: Region Event Tickets are 10 dollars.
Some exciting events this week: JV football will play in the Shenandoah district Championship today at 6 @ Riverheads. Varsity football will travel to Brunswick Friday night in the Region 1B quarterfinals at 7pm. The One Act Play Team finishes 2nd in the Region and will compete in the Super Regional Competition on Saturday at Franklin High School. Cole Reed will represent Bison Nation running in the State XC meet at Green Hill Park in Salem on Saturday. The Band will take to the Streets of Staunton on Saturday for the Veteran's Day Parade!!!
Region 1B Sports Updates: XC is off and running at Frazier Farms in Altavista at the Region 1B meet. Volleyball will travel to Altavista tomorrow for a 6 pm showdown with the Colonels in the semifinals of the Region Tournament. Theater will compete in the Region 1B One Act play competition this Saturday in Franklin.
We need help in the concession stand this Friday 11/3. The Sportsman club is requesting help from any club or organization that would like to help in the concession stand. Please let the Sportsmans Club or Mr. Bowers know if this is something you would like to do!
Reminder to Families: Monday, November 6 and Tuesday, November 7 are Work Days/Professional Development Days for staff. There is no school for students.
Varsity Volleyball @ Franklin: Game time is 6pm!! Please be advised that tickets for all Region Events are $10 dollars and this event is Cash ONLY. Franklin does NOT use GoFan.
Shenandoah District JV Volleyball Tournament:
Bison Nation will host the event starting tonight with the Semi Finals. Tickets can be purchased via GoFan or at the gate, cash and card sales available.
