School pictures make great holiday gifts. Now would be a good time to send something to your parents to remind them about looking for/ordering their student's school pictures. If they don't have their student's access code they can email me at staff@qcpva.com and I can send them the link.

Shirley Kaufman, WHSV's Teacher of the Month - Shirley Kaufman's name was submitted by Austin Lam, who had this to say in the nomination:
"Ms. Kaufman is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of teacher, she is the head Agriculture teacher at Buffalo Gap. Ms. Kaufman is a leader and has changed many lives, like myself, she courage me to try new things and to break out of my comfort zone, and I would not be the person I am today if it wasn't for her. She deserves all the dedication she can get, and if people were to ask her former students about her, they would all say the same, that she is a hard-working, time-dedicated teacher"

We appreciate our School Psychologists!
During the week of November 6-10, 2023 schools throughout the United States will celebrate National School Psychology Week (NSPW) to highlight the important work school psychologists and other educators do to help all students thrive. This year's theme is "Let's Grow Together," inspired by the importance of both personal and shared strengths in our growth as individuals and school communities in every season of life. The theme recognizes every aspect of growth, as fundamental to effective learning environments and to school psychologists' role in supporting student well-being and learning. -National Association of School Psychologists
