Exam Exemptions are in place for students that have achieved a 90 percentile or above. SOLs/PBAs are considered End of Course exams, therefore a final or other EOC is not required/needed. Non SOL courses should have a cumulative project/presentation or exam for the course. Therefore cumulative project/presentation (exam) could take place earlier or over multiple days. BGHS Students that are exempt from an exam should turn in a parent excuse note if they are going to be absent from school during the exam class period.

FAMILY ENGAGEMENT DAYS November 18, 2021 Good afternoon. As Superintendent Dr. Eric Bond has declared November 18 & 19 Family Engagement Days for Augusta County Public Schools, we want to acknowledge the importance of families and schools working together to support our children’s learning. Knowing our schools need parent and caregiver support, today and tomorrow we celebrate the powerful contributions you make to education everyday in your home. To recognize your role, we ask you to take just a few minutes over the next couple of days to talk about the importance of education with your child. Tell your child about your family’s history with school, ask your child how school is going now, and discuss how education plays a role in your child’s future dreams. To help you in this conversation, more information will be posted on our ACPS Facebook page today and tomorrow. Our schools need your help in meeting our goal of teaching Every Child, Every Day. Thank you for helping us reach that goal, and we’ll see your child in school tomorrow.

The Fine Arts Department is planning to host our annual Winter Showcase at Buffalo Gap High School on Sunday, December 5 (snow date of Sunday, December 12). 2:00 pm - Doors open for the student art show/piano recital in the lobby. 2:30 pm - Auditorium doors open. 3:00 pm - Concert begins. 4:00 pm - Approximate end of concert.

Senior Night We will be recognizing senior members of Football, Sideline & Comp Cheer, Golf, and Band on October 22, 2021. We will introduce our seniors on the track during the football pregame. We will begin the festivities at 6:30 PM. We ask that all escorts be present on the track prior to 6:20 pm so we can line up.

Make Up Picture Day for All Students and Staff Wednesday October 13th - Available to all Students and Staff that missed their opportunity for pictures. Seniors will be provided graduation gowns for pictures for the yearbook.
