Meet Our Career Coach - Lindsey Bailey

LindseyB

Mrs. Lindsey Bailey serves as the Career Coach at Fort Defiance High School.  In her role, she provides guidance for students in all grade levels as they explore and plan different pathways toward success beyond high school. Whether a student is planning to attend college, join the military, or enter the workforce, the Career Coach can offer assistance in accomplishing all the necessary steps toward a smooth post-high school transition.

Mrs. Bailey provides information for students through classroom presentations, small groups, and individual career guidance during the school day. She coordinates field trips, sets up shadow visits, and works with the community in a number of ways to help students experience the world that awaits them beyond their high school years. Parents wishing to schedule an appointment to join their teen in meetings with the Career Coach are welcome to call the school and join the exciting process of planning a great future for their favorite FDHS student.

Mrs. Bailey has a background in music education as well as music ministry.  She taught middle school and high school choir, piano, musical theater, guitar, and general music classes for 13 years before transitioning to her new role as a Career Coach.  Mrs. Bailey has taught at public schools in Richmond, Blacksburg, and Augusta County.  She currently maintains a private music studio where she teaches piano, guitar, and voice lessons.  Mrs. Bailey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from James Madison University.  She is active in music ministry and enjoys singing and leading music in local churches.  Mrs. Bailey lives in Waynesboro with her husband, Mike.  They enjoy spending time with their daughter (Charlotte) and son (Matthew).  In her spare time, you can usually find her reading, crafting, learning something new, or making music.

Mrs. Bailey is excited to unlock the potential within FDHS students and shape their futures for success.
