Buffalo Gap High School School Supply List
General supplies:
Notebook and folder or binder with loose-leaf paper (Zipper or Zip up Binders are NOT allowed)
Charged Chromebook
Writing utensils
Athletic Shoes and appropriate clothes for Physical Education
We have a number of water bottle filler machines. Students are encouraged to stay hydrated and bring a water bottle to school each day.
Specific classes may request other supplies not listed.
**Students needing certain supplies are welcome to see their counselor for assistance.

BGHS New Student Orientation will be done by appointment only on August 1st and 2nd from 3:00pm-6:00pm. New students/families will be able to visit with teachers, pay fees and receive schedules as they take an individual family tour of our building.
We will be taking requests for appointment dates/times starting Monday July 24th at 830am through our Main Office line 540-337-6021.

Attention families of all rising 12th graders/seniors:
Students will need a record of receiving the meningitis vaccine, a religious exemption, or a medical exemption on file at school before August 9, 2023. Students can get these vaccines from their primary care provider or by calling the local health department to schedule an appointment.
The Staunton-Augusta Health Department number is (540) 332-7830 and available to provide vaccinations on the first and third Mondays from 8:15-10:45 am and the second and fourth Tuesdays from 8:15-11:30 am and 12:45-2:30 pm. Please do not wait until the last minute to schedule.
2023 Parent Involvement Survey
All parents of school-aged children and youth with disabilities who receive special education services in Virginia are encouraged to complete the Virginia Department of Education’s annual Parent Involvement Survey. The survey will remain open through December 15, 2023. Annual Online Registration for Returning Students is open through August 15!
From a computer or laptop, the primary household guardian may log in to Campus Parent Portal and complete your student's health information, emergency contacts, and more! Log in at https://augustava.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/parents/augusta_county.jsp and click More > Online Registration.
Avoid lots of paperwork; after Annual Online registration closes you will need to complete manual paper registration to update all of your child(ren)'s information and permission forms (if you haven't completed them online).

Softball News: Softball will compete in the State Semi Finals vs Auburn High School on Friday June 9th at 1 pm at the Botetourt Complex
Tennis Action: Doubles Tennis action Thursday June 8 Alex DiGrassie and Taylor Hassett will compete in the semi finals at VA Tech at 3 pm.
In Ladies Singles Action: Alex DiGrassie will compete on Friday June 9th at 9am in the Ladies Semi Finals at VA Tech.

Congratulations to Coach Torrens and the Ladies Tennis Team as they were crowned Region 1B Champions today!!! . Additionally, The Ladies will be back in Action on Friday June 2 here at Buffalo Gap High School for a State Quarterfinal matchup vs Mathews High school the Region 1A runner up.
Update 5/26/23:
Alex DiGrassie just won her Region Semifinal match in the Region 1B ladies singles tourney!! She will play for a Singles Region 1B Championship at 4 PM today in Petersburg!!
Girls Tennis will be in action in the Region 1B Championship today at 11 am.
