We have planned a pep rally, pregame parade and halftime show on Friday. The winner of the spirit week competition will be announced at the pep rally.
The Dance will take place in the old gym on Saturday, September 24 from 7:30-10:00pm. Be sure rides are at school by 10pm.
Tickets are no longer available and will not be sold at the door the night of the dance.
2022 Final Homecoming Court Vote
The top male and female students from grades 9th-11th will be the Homecoming Princes and Princesses and the top three male and top three female Seniors will make up the 12th grade portion of the court with the King and Queen being selected from this group. When voting, students will select their grade, vote for their Prince/Princess for their class and then go to the King/Queen ballot (the entire school will vote for King/Queen) and vote. https://forms.gle/Wvh7RBzj7Jd1XdVS6

Come and support your class as teams from each grade level battle to win homecoming week spirit points and glory! The concession stand will be open, so come hungry! All proceeds support the Junior Class and Prom.
$5.00-Adults and High School Students
$2.00- Middle and Elementary School Students
Spirit Week will be from September 20 through 23. You can earn spirit points for your classes by participating.
Here are the spirit days:
Tuesday is Recreate that photo- use an old photo of yourself and recreate that outfit.
Wednesday is Generation day by class- the freshman class dress as babies or toddlers, the sophomores dress as children, juniors dress as middle age, and seniors dress as old folks.
Thursdays is Decades- each class dress according to their decade, Seniors are the 90’s, Juniors are the 70’s, Sophomores are the 80’s, and the freshman are the 20’s.
Friday is Black and Gold/Class Colors - be sure to dress in your class’s color

Bison Parents/Guardians, we unfortunately experienced some power outages today (9-12-22) during the school day. All services and classrooms continued to operate. BGHS Administration continually monitored the situation to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Change in Ticket price for the Shenandoah District
Unfortunately, there is a change in the Shenandoah District ticket price to $6. We are sorry for the change and any inconvenience it may cause.
Parking for Events at Gap
Please be mindful that there are less parking spaces in our side lot near the main gate and there may be less parking in the side areas as construction of our new Buffalo Gap Middle School progresses.
Our student section will be Positive and Classy, joining our Cheerleaders and Marching Band in supporting our Bison! We encourage you to join in and cheer on the Bison as they take on James River! #WeAreBison2022-23 #PositiveAndClassy
Important for Students and Parents
Students are not to stay after school before games unless they are part of the event participants under the supervision of their coach. Students will need to exit the campus and arrange transportation for their return for the game.
Due to some travel issues, JV Volleyball vs Luray will be at 6pm instead of 5:30pm this evening.
Reminder that Queen City Photography will be here for underclassmen (Grades 9, 10, 11) picture day Tomorrow 8/25.

Reminders
9th-12th graders are reminded to bring their fully charged Chromebook to school. Cell phones are not required for instruction and are not to be used in classes. Students are expected to dress appropriately for an educational environment. Please see the ACPS Dress code and other school policies located in the Secondary Student Handbook on the ACPS website.
