Cinderella Project

Since 2004, the  Cinderella Project of the Shenandoah Valley has served over 2,000 clients and returned 2 million dollars in goods and services to our community.  Last year they served 30 students from Fort Defiance High School.  Over 20 years?  Hundreds!   Most of these teens would not attend prom because they can't afford to.   With Cinderella's help they go from not having anything to wear, to having an outfit they love that looks great on them!  The parents are grateful, as they manage family resources in an economy that doesn't stretch to afford the high cost of prom attire - often $500 to $1200.

It is more than just clothing; at the individual appointments the  Cinderella Project staff shower each student with attention and personal service, outfitting them with all they need,  head to toe -- absolutely free.   For some, it is the first time they have had dress clothing. Confidence, optimism, and pride shine from within and their future seems full of promise.

This year the  Cinderella Project will host appointments for students every Saturday beginning on March 9th  and continuing through May 18th.
