The Augusta County School Division subscribes to a continuous progress approach to learning. Each student is assessed and instruction is provided at the student's current learning level. Students can be identified in the areas of language arts, mathematics, music, art, and drama. Augusta County is committed to a differentiated core curriculum for the gifted within the regular classroom with appropriate enrichment activities as planned by the individual school committee. Funds for materials to differentiate the instructional program are made available to each school.

In addition to the regular curriculum, high school students have Advanced Placement courses in English, math, social studies, foreign languages, science, and art available, as well as offerings at the Regional Governor's School for Science, Mathematics, and Technology. Summer Enrichment Programs are available in the areas of academic and fine arts.
