Region 1B admission is $10 per person, age 5 and up. No district, county, school passes, or punch passes are accepted by the region for admission-only VHSL passes are accepted. Please congratulate the 2025 Yearbook Staff on winning a VHSL Trophy Class rating on the 2025 yearbook, titled "Seeing Red." Trophy Class in the publication category of the VHSL is equivalent to a State Championship in Athletics. This is the Colosseum's 2nd state championship in the last three years, and the hard work and dedication of the yearbook staff shines through the pages of this publication. Thanks to our students, staff and community for their continued support of our yearbook program. Thanks to our yearbook advisor, Ms. Wenger, for her dedication and commitment as well.

We will be streaming our school board meeting tonight on Facebook as we have done in the past. The stream will remain archived/active for 30 days prior to it being removed. We will still work on getting the stream switched over to YouTube for future meetings.

Previously, our School Board meetings were both hosted and archived through Facebook Live. Facebook has changed their archiving policy. Now all new Facebook Live videos are automatically deleted from Facebook pages and profiles after 30 days.
We will be moving this service to our Google Workspace accounts through YouTube, which allows us to host the videos indefinitely. The School Board meetings will still be available to the public and live. However, we will still be linking to them on Facebook for public access.

-Car drivers, please give our school buses lots of room to run their routes and pick up students.
-Obey the stop arms to enable students to safely load and unload.
-Bus drivers will be getting acclimated to their routes. Please be at your stop in advance in case they're running early, and be patient if they're running late.
-Route timing and consistency will improve over time.
And lastly, be kind! We appreciate the service our bus drivers are providing our students.

Important update for 2025-26: The Shenandoah District has voted to set admission prices at $7 for all spectators, ages 6 and up, for all athletic contests, JV and Varsity. Just as we did this past year, Riverheads High School Athletics will offer a nearly 30% discount on admission to all home regular season contests for senior citizens, students, families, and all other spectators through our Athletics punch pass card. These cards cost $50 each and are good for admission to any 10 home regular season contests, a savings of nearly 30% off regular admission prices. The cards are good for the entire year of athletic contests-fall, winter, and spring. The cards can be purchased in the main office of Riverheads High School or at the ticket gate at home athletic events. Don't miss out on a chance to save money while supporting our Gladiators! The March 6, 2025 ACPS School Board Meeting will be postponed to Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 6:30 PM. The agenda for this meeting will be posted on the ACPS website no later than Monday, March 17, 2025 and will include the budget presentation.
CALENDAR CHANGES DUE TO WEATHER: At the ACPS School Board Budget Work session on February 20, 2025, several members of the Board expressed concerns about the loss of seat time/ instructional time, especially for 2nd semester, due to our inclement weather days in January and February. Therefore, they approved a motion to add back instructional time with the follow revisions to the 2024-2025 ACPS Calendar:
April 7, 2025 will now be a REGULAR school day instead of the scheduled Teacher Workday/School Professional Development Day. Additionally, April 18, 2025 will now be a FULL school day instead of a 1:00 early dismissal.
Spring Sports will begin try-outs/practices on Monday, February 24, 2025.
