UPDATE (1/5/24): All weekend activities have been cancelled for all Augusta County Schools on Saturday (1/6/24) and Sunday (1/7/24). This includes all athletic events home and away as well as any outside organizations using ACPS facilities (ex. - Little Leagues, etc.). Be safe!

Last year’s Riverheads High School yearbook, “New Additions, Old Traditions” earned 2nd place in the American Scholastic Press Association competition. The ASPA is a national organization with more than 160 competing yearbook programs. Congratulations to the 2023 yearbook staff!

Notice of Public Hearing - February 1, 2024 The Augusta County School Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 7 p.m. to receive input as it pertains to the 2024-2025 Augusta County School Board Budget. The meeting will be held at the Augusta County Government Center, Verona, Virginia. All interested parties are invited to attend. Details for those wishing to speak are available on the “School Board” tab of the Augusta County Public Schools webpage (https://www.augusta.k12.va.us/page/school-board-meeting-dates). The regular School Board meeting will follow.

12/11/23 - 2 hour delay. VCTC will report both in the morning and afternoon as scheduled. Gov. School will report at 9:30 a.m. SOL testing will still occur at RHS - students should be prepared to test. Be safe.

On November 9th, the Riverheads High School Football team, along with the cheerleading squad and the Riverheads SCA, packed 300 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

We appreciate our School Psychologists! During the week of November 6-10, 2023 schools throughout the United States will celebrate National School Psychology Week (NSPW) to highlight the important work school psychologists and other educators do to help all students thrive. This year's theme is "Let's Grow Together," inspired by the importance of both personal and shared strengths in our growth as individuals and school communities in every season of life. 10/31/23 - Varsity Football game on Friday, November 3, 2023 will not be played due to a forfeit by our opponent. The football team will be back in action in the Region 2B quarterfinals on Friday, November 10, 2023.

This is the yearbook world equivalent of winning a state championship. The book scored an overall superior rating, with an emphasis on our theme and sports coverage. Congratulations to Mrs. Wenger and the RHS Yearbook Staff!
