Career and Technical Education prepares youth and adults for a wide range of high-wage, high-skill and high-demand careers.

Augusta County Schools offers the following CTE programs and National Student Organizations at the middle and high school levels:

  • Agricultural Education - FFA

  • Business and Information Technology - FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)

  • Career Connections

  • Family and Consumer Sciences - FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America)

  • Marketing - DECA

  • Technology Education - TSA (Technology Student Association)

The following additional CTE programs and National Student Organizations are offered at Valley Career and Technical Center:

  • Health and Medical Sciences - HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)

  • Trade and Industrial Education - SkillsUSA 

Career and Technical Education Student Organizations enhance CTE through a co-curricular network of programs, business and community partnerships and leadership experiences at the school, local, state and national levels. Students enrolled in these courses are provided opportunities to apply academic, technical and employability knowledge and skills necessary in today's work force.
