The school libraries of Augusta County Public Schools will be an integral part of the educational process. Library resources are a direct reflection of the total school curriculum and instructional program. The library is a learning center and should be seen as an extension of the classroom. Collaboration between the school administrator, classroom teacher, and the school librarian provides an environment where each school library user has easy access to a wide variety of appropriate materials.
The school librarians use their knowledge as information specialists to collaborate with classroom teachers to plan, teach, and evaluate student learning in a manner that incorporates the many resources available.
