New Little Library at SDES

A message from Stuarts Draft Elementary School:

We are so excited to have a Little Library here as part of our SDES community.  The idea came about in conjunction with our school Title I team and the SDES PTA in an effort to provide more opportunities for students to have books in their hands.  We thought, “what better opportunity to open it up for business than Literacy Night?!”

We would like to thank the instructional department at Augusta County Public Schools and the Director of Elementary Instruction, Jane Wright, for helping make this happen.  Their work alongside the donation from the Community Foundation is how this project came to fruition.  To the Community Foundation, thank you so much, and thank you for all that you do for the surrounding community.

We decided that due to the playground, track, and exercise area, this would be a great community location for a Little Library due to how busy this spot is after school hours.

(We also want to thank the incredible ACPS Maintenance Department for the installation!)

We hope everyone takes advantage of the Little Library!

Directions for use:  A Little Free Library is a free opportunity where anyone may take a book or share a book. You do not need to share or leave a book in order to take one. If you take a book, if you are able, please try and leave a book to share with others!  Again, you do not need to share a book to take a book, and vice versa.
